TAT partners up to take Me & MyCity to China
The Economic Information Office TAT in Finland, which is behind the award-winning Me & MyCity concept, has established its own education export company EduTAT.
EduTAT’s first client is the Chinese EE City, which bought the right to use the Me & MyCity concept for five years and is to establish a Chinese version of the learning environment in Beijing.
Me & MyCity teaches school children about the society, working life and entrepreneurship in a miniature city, where the students are employed and function as consumers and citizens of a society.
“TAT’s task has been to help Finnish youth seamlessly to working life and teach economic and financial skills to all age groups,” says Kari Väisänen, CEO of TAT. “Many international actors are interested in our services. At TAT, we will continue our operations as before, focusing on the work carried out in Finland, which is why it made sense to establish a company of its own for education export.”
The decision to establish EduTAT was made by TAT’s board of directors in February. EduTAT is fully owned by TAT, although the two organisations are separately funded.
