Nokia lands deals worth over EUR 2 billion in China
The Finnish telecommunications giant has signed three separate framework agreements in China worth more than two billion euros combined.
signed the agreements with China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom at China International Import Expo in Shanghai.
The agreements will see Nokia deploy products and services from its end-to-end portfolio to the Chinese operators until the end of 2019, which will enhance network speed, capacity and reliability across China, as well as pave the way for 5G.
“We are excited to continue our close collaboration with these important customers in China, to drive new levels of network performance as they transition toward 5G,” saysMike Wang, president of Nokia Shanghai Bell. “Leveraging the breadth of our end-to-end network and services capabilities, we will work closely with China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom to deploy technologies that meet their specific business needs.”
Nokia recently inked another multibillion-euro contract
to help T-Mobile accelerate the deployment of its 5G network across the US.
