Langh Tech delivers scrubber systems in Greece
Finnish company Langh Tech has won a large order for 10 shipset scrubber systems for bulk carriers and product tankers in Greece.
The deliveries will be made during 2019 to Greek shipping companies Marmaras Navigation and Delta Tankers, which are owned by Diamantis Diamantidis.
In total, nine bulk carriers and one tanker will be fitted with Langh Tech’s open-loop system that will connect the main engine and all auxiliaries with a multi-inlet scrubber tower, which will help to prepare the Greek shipping companies for the International Maritime Organization’s 2020 global low sulphur cap regulation.
“It is our honour to serve Marmaras and Delta Tankers in Greece, and we are very excited to work on a demanding retrofit project with tight deliveries and analytical project management,” saidLaura Langh-Lagerlöf, commercial director of Langh Tech. “The systems will be designed to fit restricted engine casing spaces, and their low operating costs will offer a significantly fast payback to the shipowner. We have further committed to provide strong technical support during the whole installation and commissioning procedure.”
Langh Tech is one of the Langh companies, which also include Langh Ship, Langh Cargo Solutions, and Industrial and Ship Cleaning Services Hans Langh.
