Kito Corporation has acquired all the shares of Finnish industry-use light cranes producer ERIKKILA.

The move sees the Japanese manufacturer of hoists, cranes, and chains enhance its European operations via ERIKKILA’s European sales network. ERIKKILA has been producing and selling light cranes in the European market for over 40 years, and has subsidiaries in Estonia, Sweden and Russia, along with a German sales office.

Modular ERIKKILA lightweight cranes have garnered a reputation for being easy to operate with a long lifespan. Kito seeks to maximise its sales opportunities across Europe by combining these with its electric chain hoists, which reduce load swing.

ERIKKILA reported sales of 11.7 million euros last year.
