Finnish company Fiskars has been awarded the 2019 Teachers’ Choice Award for the Classroom for its battery-powered pencil sharpener.

Learning Magazine’s annual Teachers’ Choice Awards selected <a href="http://www.fiskars.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Fiskars</a>’ product as the very best classroom-tested, teacher-recommended product.

The awards are one of the most recognised and prestigious awards in the educational market. Teachers from across the US judge the quality, instructional value, ease of use and innovation of the entries.

“Fiskars is continuously innovating and expanding product offerings in all categories, including back-to-school,” <a href="http://news.cision.com/fiskars/r/fiskars-wins-2019-teachers--choice-award-for-battery-powered-pencil-sharpener,c2618685" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">says</a> Fiskars Americas vice president of marketing Jay Gillespie. “Receiving the Teachers’ Choice Award reinforces we’re doing our job of creating tools that kids and teachers love.”

This is the 14th year that Fiskars has been named an award recipient, with the company’s scissors attracting accolades last year and in 2016.
