Finnish companies KONE, Metso and Pöyry have won orders in Spain, India and Vietnam, respectively.

First up is KONE, which will equip the Caleido mixed-use property in Madrid, Spain, with 46 lifts and four escalators, as well as advanced people flow solutions and intelligent KONE 24/7 Connected Services. The development will comprise 70 000 square metres of floor space and a 36-storey high rise that will house the Instituto de Empresa (IE) university campus. The site will also feature a medical clinic, commercial premises, restaurants and green zones.

Then on to Metso, with the Finnish industrial company having won its largest global pellet plant order from JSW Steel in India. The order includes grinding, filtration and a pyro-processing pellet plant for JSW Steel’s large-scale steel operation in the country.

Finally to Pöyry, which has been awarded an owner’s engineering services assignment for a 340MW wind farm project in Vietnam by Thailand-based Super Energy Corporation Public Company. The wind farm project is made up of six sub-projects in the Ca Mau, Bac Lieu and Soc Trang provinces in Vietnam. Pöyry’s responsibilities include a feasibility study for the project, selecting the wind turbine generator supplier, providing technical reviews of EPC contracts, as well as project management and engineering design reviews for the wind farms.
