Finnish cyber security company F-Secure is securing a leading position globally by acquiring MWR InfoSecurity, while Finnish IT and software firm Solteq becomes the leading LS Retail supplier in the Nordics after acquisitions from ProInfo in Denmark.

F-Secure

has agreed to purchase all outstanding shares in privately held cyber security company MWR InfoSecurity, which operates globally out of its main offices in the UK, the US, South Africa and Singapore.

The deal brings MWR InfoSecurity’s suite of technologies and close to 400 employees to F-Secure, turning the Finnish company into the single largest European source of cyber security services.

“The acquisition brings MWR InfoSecurity’s industry-renowned technologies to F-Secure making our detection and response offering unrivalled,” says F-Secure CEO Samu Konttinen. “I’m thrilled to welcome MWR InfoSecurity’s employees to F-Secure. With their vast experience and hundreds of experts performing cyber security services on four continents, we will have unparalleled visibility into real-life cyber attacks 24/7.”

Meanwhile, Finland-based IT and software house Solteq has acquired certain LS Retail and Dynamics NAV competencies and clientele from Denmark-based ProInfo in a move that will significantly strengthen the Finnish company’s software offering for the hospitality and retail industries in the Nordics.

Solteq will now have more than 100 employees working on these solutions, and by the end of 2019 it expects to serve more than 1 000 stores and restaurants in the Nordics with LS Retail solutions and other services.

The Finnish company will also have Danish offices in Copenhagen, Randers and Odense following the acquisition, which will add to its presence in the Nordics where it already holds locations in various cities in Finland, Sweden and Norway.
