Finlandia Hall awarded as world’s best event venue
Located in the centre of Finland’s capital Helsinki, Finlandia Hall has been awarded as the best event venue at the Bea World Festival in Portugal.
was named the best congress, conference and convention venue at the Bea World Festival, which brought the international event community to Coimbra, Portugal, between 22 and 23 November.
Designed by Alvar Aalto, the iconic building sits by the Töölö Bay (Töölönlahti) in central Helsinki, which grabbed the international media spotlight this summer as the setting of a summit between the US and Russian presidents.

The event received more than 3 billion euros worth of positive media hype from the most critical media audience in the world.”
Finlandia Hall faced competition from well-known event locations such as ExCeL London. Altogether, the event drew 128 contestants from 28 countries, including Finnish company Elämys Group, which placed second in the sports event category.
The international media spotlight will be on Finlandia Hall again next year, with around 100 EU meetings to be organised there after Finland takes over the presidency of the EU in mid-2019.
