Finnish edtech spreads in the Commonwealth
Finnish edtech companies Claned Group and Graphogame have gained access to the Commonwealth markets through their holding company Learning Intelligence Group (LIG), after it signed a co-operation agreement with the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS).
‘s portfolio of edtech companies include Claned Group and Graphogame, which will be the first companies from the Finnish education sector to gain such privileged access to the Commonwealth markets. The deal was initiated and supported by the British and Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland (B3CF).
The announcement of the co-operation agreement was made during the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition Award Ceremony at the end of November in Buckingham Palace in central London.
“This co-operation is designed to help to shape and develop and grow LIG’s business, which fits into the RCS’s agenda of promoting Commonwealth values, in particular in the educational field,” comments Vladislav Dobrokhotov, director of The Royal Commonwealth Society Nordic-Baltic Hub in a press release.
Claned is used by customers in more than 20 countries and its AI powered collaborative learning environment recently won the Best Learning Analytics Tool 2017 award from The Edvocate.
Graphogame meanwhile, is the only evidence-based literacy game in the world. It has been developed together with neuropsychology and language pathology researchers from 20 leading universities, including Cambridge and Yale, and is available on mobile and desktop in 14 languages.
