Profin slides in with Inwido

Over the past decade, Profin has developed into Finland’s primary supplier of high-quality sliding doors. Profin

Finnish family business Profin Group, focused on premium sliding doors and windows, has been acquired in full by Sweden-based Inwido, Europe’s largest supplier of windows.

Founded in 1977, Profin employs around 60 people today and has a turnover of approximately 12 million euros.

The company’s products are designed to withstand the harsh climate of the north, and it has become the market leader in high-quality sliding doors in Finland. It also exports to several countries in the EU, as well as to Russia and Japan.

“From the beginning, our aim has been to manufacture high-quality windows and doors that last for decades, or even centuries – the entire life span of the building,” says Mikko Haapala, managing director at Profin, in a release. “After 40 years as a family business, we look forward to becoming part of the Inwido family and Europe´s largest window supplier.”

The deal is expected to be closed on 1 July for an undisclosed sum, although the final purchase price is conditional on certain financial targets set for Profin in 2018.
