Finnair launches direct flights to Minsk
Finnair is increasing the number of direct flights available from Helsinki to Minsk.
The flag carrier and largest airline in Finland is commencing its own flights between the two capital cities in June. This will compliment already existing codeshare flights operated by Belavia, the national airline of Belarus. Embraer 190 aircraft will operate twice a week, increasing the total number of flights between Helsinki and Minsk from three to five per week.
The Finnair flights will not only serve local customers better on the route between Finland and Belarus, but also give an additional boost for expanding its international network connections.
“A direct route to Minsk compliments well our network and will serve especially well customers travelling between Belarus and North America,” explains Finnair CCO, Juha Järvinen. “Additionally, our new Minsk flights will connect well to Finnair’s Asian and European network.”
This is the second new destination for Finnair to make headlines this month, with a new route connecting Helsinki and the Swedish city of Malmö announced last week.
